Difference Between SPC Flooring And WPC Flooring
Dec. 06, 2018
Although WPC flooring and SPC rigid core vinyl flooring have many similarities, there are still some differences that can help you better choose the right floor options.
1. Thickness
WPC flooring tends to have a thicker core and overall thickness (5.5mm to 8mm) than SPC (3.2mm to 7mm). The extra thickness also gives the WPC a slight advantage in comfort, sound insulation and temperature regulation during walking.
2. Durability
Since the SPC core is made of stone, it is denser and more durable in everyday traffic, major impact and heavy furniture.
3. Stability
Due to the stone core of SPC, the floor is less prone to expansion and contraction under extreme weather conditions.
4. Price
In general, cork SPC vinyl flooring is cheaper than WPC. However, don't just choose based on price. Do some research, consider where and how to use it, and choose the best product based on your needs and budget.
